Job description

Our company operates across multiple industries, including childcare, retail, real estate, construction, and management services. This position will help oversee accounting operations, banking activity, financial reporting, cash flow, and internal controls across multiple companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review accounting records and financial activity across multiple companies
  • Monitor bank accounts, cash balances, transfers, deposits, and loans
  • Review monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Assist with bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping processes
  • Review financial statements for accuracy and identify unusual transactions or discrepancies
  • Help improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting systems
  • Coordinate with bookkeepers, accountants, CPAs, lenders, banks, and company management
  • Assist with loan requests, financial document preparation, and lender reporting
  • Use accounting software, spreadsheets, banking platforms, and other technology-based tools
  • Help management understand the financial performance of each business

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or another related field

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a similar technical field, along with relevant accounting or finance experience
  • Preferably one to two years of experience in accounting, finance, banking, bookkeeping, financial analysis, or a related position
  • Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, financial statements, and basic accounting principles
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and technology skills
  • Ability to manage financial information for multiple companies and bank accounts
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with management and the accounting team

Experience with multi-company accounting, Sage, QuickBooks, banking operations, commercial lending, real estate, childcare, retail, or construction accounting is preferred but not required.
