Job Title: IT Support Specialist - Master-Level Internship

Level: Master's Level Internship

Department: IT and Security

Duration: 520 Hours (approximately 3 months)

Work location: Remote (with hybrid options in Toronto)

Compensation: Hourly ($32)

The Vosyn internship is unique. Remuneration is equivalent to $32.00 CAD per hour payable in common shares of the Corporation at the then fair market value. For greater clarity, NO cash in-hand (in hourly rate or salary) will be paid to the Intern. Instead, Vosyn being an AI start-up, the upside is in potential future value of said shares based on the hours worked, billed and approved.

About the Role: As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the organization's IT infrastructure by providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role requires a problem-solving professional who can address IT challenges, support end-users, and ensure system efficiency and security.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify technical needs, implement solutions, and contribute to continuous improvements in IT operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.

About You:

  • Completed Bachelor's degree Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required. Master's program enrollment or completion is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for troubleshooting IT issues.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and networking protocols.
  • Experience with IT support tools and platforms (e.g., remote desktop, ticketing systems).
  • Proficiency in system maintenance and security best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively assist end-users and collaborate with teams.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
