What are remote contractors?

Remote contractors are independent professionals or freelancers who work for companies or clients from a location outside of the traditional office setting, often from their own home or a co-working space. They are typically hired for specific projects or tasks and are not considered employees, which means they manage their own taxes, benefits, and work schedule. Remote contractors use digital communication tools to collaborate with teams and deliver results across a variety of industries, such as IT, marketing, writing, and design. This arrangement provides flexibility for both the contractor and the hiring company.

About Josi Health
Josi Health is a fast-growing remote healthcare company focused on making autism diagnostic evaluations more accessible, faster, and less stressful for families.
Through a modern, tech-enabled care model, we help patients navigate the diagnostic process with greater clarity, communication, and support from initial intake through post-diagnosis follow-up.
We are a small, highly collaborative team that values ownership, responsiveness, operational clarity, and calm execution under pressure.

About The Role
We are looking for a highly organized, empathetic, and resourceful Care Concierge to serve as one of the primary points of contact for patients and families throughout the diagnostic journey.
This role combines customer support, scheduling coordination, patient communication, administrative follow-through, and operational problem-solving.
You will help families:
  • schedule evaluations,
  • complete required paperwork,
  • navigate insurance and intake requirements,
  • understand next steps,
  • and stay informed throughout the process.
Many of the families you speak with may already feel overwhelmed, confused, or frustrated before reaching us. Your ability to communicate clearly, stay organized, and calmly guide conversations forward will play a major role in the overall patient experience.
This is not a passive call center role. We are looking for someone who can think critically, follow structured workflows carefully, manage multiple moving parts at once, and operate independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will serve as the primary point of contact for Josi Health's patients and families via phone, email, and live chat
  • Schedule and coordinate diagnostic evaluations
  • Collect and verify intake information, insurance details, and required documentation
  • Follow up with patients regarding missing forms or appointment requirements
  • Respond professionally and empathetically to patient questions and concerns
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within internal systems
  • Coordinate with operations and clinical teams to resolve scheduling or workflow issues
  • Research and provide post-diagnosis support resources when needed
  • Help identify recurring operational issues and suggest workflow improvements

What We’re Looking For (Required Qualifications)
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-volume or emotionally sensitive situations
  • Comfortable managing multiple conversations and tasks simultaneously
  • Reliable remote work setup with high-speed internet
  • Backup power and backup internet solution available during outages
  • Ability to work primarily during US business hours
  • Comfortable working independently within a structured remote workflow

Preferred
  • Previous healthcare support, patient coordination, or customer service experience
  • Experience working remotely in fast-paced environments
  • Familiarity with tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, Zendesk, Intercom, or EHR systems
  • Basic understanding of healthcare or insurance terminology

What We Offer
  • Fully remote work environment
  • Competitive monthly compensation
  • A supportive and collaborative startup team
  • Opportunity to help shape and improve patient experience operations
  • Meaningful work supporting families through important healthcare decisions
  • High-autonomy environment focused on results, communication, and accountability.
  • Zero Micromanagement

Application Process
All applicants will complete:
  1. A short application questionnaire
  2. A brief video interview with the recruitment team
  3. A final interview with the hiring manager
  4. If all goes well, an offer of employment
We review applications carefully and prioritize candidates who demonstrate strong communication, professionalism, operational thinking, and attention to detail.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Josi Health is committed to building an inclusive and supportive remote work environment for talented professionals globally.
