As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will engage with clients via virtual platforms, enabling flexibility and convenience for both counselors and clients. Your role as a Mental Health Counselor will encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed at providing comprehensive care to clients:

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the root causes of clients' mental health challenges, crafting tailored therapeutic strategies that align with each individual's recovery goals.
• Refer clients to psychiatrists, advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), or substance use disorder specialists for further evaluations as deemed necessary.
• Offer evidence-based solutions and resources to assist clients dealing with low self-esteem, relational issues, addiction, or suicidal ideation, helping them navigate through their difficulties.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate health records for each client, analyzing data to effectively determine appropriate treatment methodologies customized for their unique needs.
• Collaborate with clients' family members when necessary to monitor treatment efficacy and behavioral changes throughout their counseling journey.

Your expertise will be pivotal in addressing the needs of a diverse client population that includes individuals facing a range of mental health disorders, intellectual disabilities, and substance addiction issues. By creating a safe and empathetic virtual environment, you will help clients explore their challenges, providing them with the necessary tools to foster resilience and growth.

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Hold at least one of the following active licenses: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Demonstrate a clean record with no history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.
• Be authorized to work legally in the U.S.

While the minimum qualifications are essential, we highly value candidates with prior experience in telehealth settings or those who have developed culturally competent practice skills. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and teletherapy best practices is also advantageous.

Canvas of Emotion Healthcare Services offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and caseload. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
