Overview

Pyramid Systems Inc. is looking for a passionate project manager that will be responsible for delivering IT capability and modernization in support of our various Federal Government contracts. As a Project Manager with a strong technical background you will lead the team through the entire delivery lifecycle. You will evaluate solutions, assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and help balance the business needs versus technical constraints. You will be an important member of the leadership team and a key reason for client and company success. We are looking for someone who is passionate about leading people as well as planning and executing work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities
    Lead delivery teams in a remote/high-telework environment, to include: establishing team cadence and engagement activities, supporting employee development, promoting Pyramid policies and culture, and providing performance feedback and evaluations.
  • Manage complete lifecycle for software development projects in a Federal Government Contracting Environment. Guide projects through all required agency SDLC phase gates and artifacts
  • Author various project documents such as Project Charter, Risk Management plan, etc.
  • Develop and maintain the project plan, work breakdown structure, project roadmap, and staffing plan according to customer requirements.
  • Understand and manage stakeholder (product owner, client management, Pyramid management) needs and priorities to ensure the needs are translated into accurate requirements, they are prioritized in to appropriate releases, and delivery meets business demands.
  • Provide leadership and support toward successful execution of all formal Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • Work across different technologies spanning various platforms including legacy systems and cloud environments.
  • Work with multiple teams and resources including User Experience, System Architecture, User Interface Design and Development, System Development, Performance Engineering, Testing, Transition, and IT Operations and get them to march towards a common goal.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Maintain meticulous records of project and program financials, issues, risks, decisions, schedules.
  • Provide thought leadership and recommendations to management based on best practices and experience working in environments.
  • Support business development, proposal activities, and white papers as necessary to promote Pyramid, identify new opportunities, and win.
  • Strong skills to effectively interface with client executives and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Capable of managing requirements including eliciting, documenting, reviewing, and managing changing requirements.
  • Strong communication, visual presentation, and technical writing skills.
Qualifications
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Minimum of 7 years of Project Management experience, including functions such as Estimation, Scope Management, Scheduling, Issue/Risk Management, etc.
  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience leading and managing application development and application modernization projects of moderate complexity and performance time.
  • Experience leading people, including performance, development, and administrative management.
  • Experience managing application development in both on-prem (legacy) and cloud environments
  • Experience managing across the full lifecycle for software development projects; experience with Agile and DevSecOps preferred.
  • Experience managing a fully Agile team to include execution of best practices and related ceremonies resulting in the delivery of MVP
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand Up, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methods as it relates to system development
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification preferred.
  • PMP also preferred.
  • Candidates must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance.
  • Experience with Azure environments a plus

The final offered salary will be influenced by a host of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
