Summary

Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a Contract Manager to join their Supply Chain team! This is a remote work position for candidates who reside in KY or IN.

The Contract Manager is responsible for leading system wide contracting of supplies, equipment, material, services and maintenance. This includes extensive procurement, contracting, and purchasing functions, with the goal of driving significant savings or cost avoidance by pointing procurement towards our contracted options.

The manager is responsible for providing high quality, efficient, and cost-effective service to the organization with an emphasis on customer service. Achieving standards of performance, portfolio management and collaboration with leadership and system departments. The position will also be focused on continuous process improvement, benchmarking, performance measurement, and reporting.

Responsibilities include assisting in the identification and review of new and alternative product selections, sourcing products within the vendor community, monitoring vendor performance, and building business relationships. Also negotiates contracts, including GPO, IDN and hospital specific contracts within their service line.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field. Prefer a clinical background like nursing
  • Advanced certification in supply chain or healthcare administration preferred
  • 3+ years experience related experience in contracting, supply chain, or healthcare administration
  • Market knowledge of key medical/surgical supplies and services preferred
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, negotiating, contracting, business law, cost containment, and expense management activities preferred
