Job description

US Federal Solutions, a leading management consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Contract Closeout Analyst to support our client in the Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a REMOTE position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a team committed to delivering exceptional service. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate closeout of government contracts. This includes reconciling all obligations and costs, preparing final invoices, and terminating all subcontracts and purchase orders.
Responsibilities
  • Perform cost and price analysis, including analyzing financial reports and statements, in order to determine final closeout costs for contracts.
  • Review and update financial and administrative files to ensure that contract closeouts adhere to government regulations and policies.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure that all requirements have been met and that all required documentation is submitted.
  • Prepare and submit final invoices for the closeout process, ensuring that they are accurately coded, approved, and signed.
  • Review and verify all contract modifications and adjustments, ensuring that appropriate adjustments are made and that all documentation is accurately maintained.
  • Ensure that all subcontracts and purchase orders have been appropriately terminated and that all outstanding issues have been resolved.
  • Ensure that all custody and accountability of government property is properly transferred or disposed of in accordance with government regulations.
  • Mentoring and coaching of junior members of team

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in contract closeout or financial analysis
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as it applies to contracting and procurement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance
