Do you have a passion for storytelling, meaningful communication, and helping others connect to God's work around the world? Freedom Challenge USA is seeking a Storytelling & Content Coordinator to help gather, develop, and share stories that inspire action, deepen community, and advance our mission. This role is ideal for a gifted communicator, strong organizer, and creative storyteller who enjoys building relationships and translating meaningful stories into content that engages diverse audiences.
Freedom Challenge is a movement of passionate women dedicated to freeing oppressed and enslaved women and children worldwide. We do this by praying intentionally and participating in physical challenges while raising funds and awareness to disrupt the cycles of oppression and poverty that can lead to human trafficking.

This role helps gather and share stories of transformation, community engagement, and ministry impact while contributing to consistent messaging across organizational communications. Working in partnership with the Content & Brand Lead and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, this person will help maintain content systems, identify new storytelling opportunities, and support evolving communication priorities that increase the reach, effectiveness, and impact of Freedom Challenge's content efforts.
Responsibilities
Content Development & Storytelling
  • Gather, organize, and develop stories from participants, supporters, volunteers, ministry partners, and projects that highlight transformation, impact, and community engagement.
  • Create, adapt, and refine mission-centered content for a variety of communication channels, audiences, and organizational needs.
  • Help steward content into ministry resources that support participant engagement, spiritual formation, fundraising, and community building.
  • Identify new storytelling and engagement opportunities that reflect Freedom Challenge's values, messaging priorities, and evolving communication goals.

Editorial & Communication Support
  • Assist in reviewing, editing, and refining content for clarity, consistency, and effectiveness.
  • Help maintain a consistent voice and tone across organizational communications.
  • Support the development of written communications and other content initiatives as needed.
  • Coordinate content updates and revisions in collaboration with team members and contributors.

Content Coordination & Organization

Podcast Coordination & Content Development
  • Coordinate and support podcast planning, production, and communication efforts.
  • Help identify topics, stories, and guests that align with Freedom Challenge's mission and strategic priorities.
  • Develop supporting content that extends the reach and impact of podcast conversations.
  • Coordinate podcast-related workflows, schedules, and communication with guests and contributors.
  • Leverage podcast content across multiple communication channels to maximize engagement and storytelling opportunities

Collaboration & Team Participation
  • Collaborate with Freedom Challenge staff, volunteers, and ministry partners to support content needs.
  • Participate in planning discussions related to campaigns, communications, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support organizational efforts through creative problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.
  • Foster relationships that encourage the sharing of stories and ministry impact.

What You'll Bring
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and mission-centered content
  • A passion for storytelling and the ability to identify meaningful stories that inspire engagement and connection
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work with accuracy and consistency
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers, ministry partners, and contributors
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset and willingness to learn new tools, platforms, and communication strategies as organizational needs evolve
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and care when working with sensitive stories and information

Qualifications
  • Experience in communications, storytelling, content development, journalism, marketing, nonprofit communications, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to create, edit, organize, and manage content across multiple communication channels
  • Strong coordination and project management skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an evolving environment
