Job description

Meet the Moment with Alteryx

We're living through a once-in-a-generation shift in how work gets done. Data, automation, and AI are quickly becoming the center of every business decision - and Alteryx is leading the transformation.

You'll be working on the challenges that sit at the heart of modern business. No matter your role, the work you do will help organizations move faster, see more clearly, and tackle questions that used to feel impossible.

If you're ready to meet the moment with innovation, curiosity, and excellence, there's a place for you here.

Alteryx is seeking a strategic, creative Social Media Manager to lead our social media and influencer management program. This role is ideal for someone who can build a strategy for brand awareness and preference - and also loves the storytelling that is required to cut through the noise.

You consider yourself a student of world-class social media, and channel best practices (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram, Reddit) come second nature for you. You think about processes, tools and creative solutions for increasing scale and speed, while recognizing when strategic goals demand bespoke, social-first campaigns and approaches.

You are someone who naturally owns outcomes around engagement and reach for our corporate social media channels and knows how to effectively monitor and report on results. You understand industry benchmarks - and have ideas for how to exceed them.

You are a strong writer with proven ability to translate corporate messaging into impactful, social-optimized content and campaigns. You have a point of view on what "great" content and results look like across strategies for brand, demand generation, and both in-person and digital events.
This role is responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders across the business and developing social strategies for demand generation campaigns and corporate initiatives. The ideal candidate demonstrates an understanding of the AI and analytics landscape, to effectively communicate effectively with our broad and technically diverse follower base. The Social Media Manager will collaborate with executives, internal and agency partners and the creative team to increase social engagement, build organic social audiences and amplify the company's brand through strategic communications.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy that supports global business and communications objectives and furthers Alteryx's reputation as a leader in the workflow automation and agentic analytics spaces.

  • Set performance goals for social media outcomes, including follower growth, engagement and share of voice across demand gen, brand and thought leadership programs.

  • Propose and execute 2-3 social-first campaigns per year

  • Maximize publicity and engagement around the McLaren Racing partnership with both real-time and evergreen social content.

  • Serve as the final decision-maker on what runs on corporate social channels, evaluating requests from stakeholders across the business against audience and brand priorities - and saying no when something doesn't serve either.

  • Implement social-first programs and robust activations for priority events.

  • Proactive and detailed content curation, including editorial calendar management, copy writing, creative development and alignment with priority campaigns and announcements.

  • Apply AI tools and automations (with appropriate HITL checkpoints) for speed and scale.

  • Global monitoring of social conversations concerning Alteryx and its affiliates, including appropriate escalation and customer service.

  • Support key executives in shaping and maintaining their social media presences.

  • Lead the shaping, development and execution of social media best practices across the company, including the administration of training.

  • Prioritize and manage incoming requests for information, social amplification and cross-functional program support.

  • Maintain current benchmark trends and audience preferences, including analysis of owned account data.

  • Manage unexpected communication challenges with high judgment and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in social media, digital media and/or external communications in the software industry, preferably for enterprise technology brands.

  • Experience working with global brand, communications, public relations, analyst relations and social teams; contributing to a global communications strategy.

  • Deep knowledge of key social channels, including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube and Instagram is required.

  • Current experience developing social media strategy and content, and managing publishing platforms (e.g., Hootsuite).

  • Experience reporting to internal stakeholders on social media performance, KPIs and optimization.

  • Strong communication/presentation skills with experience presenting cohesive plans to senior management clearly and concisely.

  • Strong creative writing skills

  • Preferred degree in business, marketing, communications or journalism.

Compensation

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The base salary range for this role in the United States is $105,000-$115,000. This role is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 15% of base salary, based on individual and company performance.

In addition to base pay and bonus eligibility, this role includes clear forms of additional compensation, such as:

  • A monthly Connectivity Plus stipend of $150 to support remote work-related expenses

  • An annual $200 home office reimbursement

Alteryx offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial security, and overall well-being, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Paid parental leave, caregiver leave, and flexible time off

  • Mental health support and wellness reimbursement

  • Career development and education assistance
