Job description

Title: Lending Technology Business Analyst
Contract duration: 6 months
Working hours: 8 hours, 9am-4:30pm CDT required, but flexibility earlier/later as long as they are working the 8 hours
Location: Remote
Role Mandate

Analyze, document, and optimize loan origination processes, loan servicing processes, and supporting technology systems. Identify gaps across business and IT workflows and develop current and future state process models to improve efficiency, data integrity, compliance, and end-to-end loan lifecycle performance from origination through servicing.

Team Structure

This is a small team of 3-4 people with mostly independent work, but a collaborative component with end users.

Role Responsibilities
  • Identify and analyze business problems across loan origination and servicing processes, defining scope and solutions including requirements, process optimization, and system enhancements.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across origination, servicing, operations, compliance, and IT teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (operations, underwriting, compliance, IT) to gather, document, and validate business and system requirements.
  • Document current-state and future-state process flows and perform gap analysis within loan origination systems.
  • Partner with technology teams to design and implement LOS enhancements, integrations, and configurations.
  • Support all aspects of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, and post-production support.
  • Participate in full project lifecycle activities, including requirements definition, solution design, testing, and deployment.
  • Maintain and manage project artifacts (requirements, process maps, issue logs, implementation plans, etc.).
  • Assess regulatory impacts and ensure solutions align with lending compliance requirements.
  • Support the Project Manager with planning, execution, risk identification, and delivery tracking.
  • Act as liaison between business users and technology teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Identify, track, and resolve issues related to loan data, system performance, or integration points.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, and releases, as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners/vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Must Have Skills
  • Postsecondary education
  • 5 years of Business Analyst experience.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience supporting loan origination and/or servicing platforms preferred.
  • Strong experience across all phases of the project lifecycle using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience working in mortgage or consumer lending environments with exposure to both origination and servicing processes.
Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience specifically with WGS NetOxygen (NetO) and/or FIS Advance Loan System (ALS)
