Job description

Mission:
Serve as the central point of control linking core construction operations with critical internal business units, infrastructure verticals, and corporate real estate.
Core Focus:
Drive technical real estate due diligence, eliminate scope gaps across specialized internal teams (IT, Network, Security, Interiors, Sales Engineering), govern long-lead procurement vendor status cadences, and deliver corporate-wide portfolio schedule/budget data aggregation.
Scope:
Portfolio-wide oversight spanning multi-site deployments, regional campuses, new data center builds, custom customer expansions, and large operational retrofits.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Cross-Functional Coordination & Design Intake
  • Serve as primary contact for Enterprise IT, Network Engineering, Physical Security, and Global Workplace to embed requirements into structural/MEP drawings before groundbreaking.
โ€ข Partner with internal Design Engineers to track, integrate, and enforce design direction across all contractor packages and custom customer deployments.
โ€ข Facilitate structured communication between site Construction Managers (CMs) and Design Engineering when field conditions require design adjustments.
โ€ข Coordinate with Sales Engineers to evaluate layout and capacity feasibility of large or non-standard custom customer designs.

Real Estate Technical Due Diligence & Permitting
  • Lead technical due diligence during site selection, coordinating structural, utility, and environmental audits with third-party consultants.
โ€ข Synthesize technical risk profiles, utility availability, and path-to-power timelines into executive reports for leadership go/no-go decisions.
โ€ข Track end-to-end permitting workflows handled by external design firms and General Contractors (GCs) to ensure zero schedule disruption.
โ€ข Coordinate internal document inputs, corporate signatures, and financial authorizations required to complete external permit packages.

Long-Lead Procurement & Vendor Governance
  • Maintain the master tracking matrix for all Owner-Furnished Equipment (OFE) and long-lead infrastructure assets.
โ€ข Lead regular production status meetings with equipment manufacturers, supply chain partners, and internal procurement teams.
โ€ข Enforce look-ahead production updates from vendors, tracking factory progress, component sourcing pipelines, and sub-assembly timelines.
โ€ข Monitor factory acceptance testing (FAT), shipping logistics, and site delivery windows against the master schedule to mitigate critical-path risks.

Portfolio Analytics & Corporate-Wide Reporting
  • Aggregate site-level financial ledgers and schedules managed by project teams into a unified, corporate-wide portfolio dashboard.
โ€ข Track cumulative expenditures, total contingency usage, cash-flow burn rates, and project milestones to provide a high-level view directly to the VP of Design & Construction.
โ€ข Analyze master schedule dependencies and floating logic across the portfolio to identify resource constraints or macroeconomic schedule slippages.
โ€ข Develop KPI reports monitoring schedule adherence, budget compliance, and document approval turnaround times.

Knowledge Management & Process Automation
  • Interface with the non-technical Director of Knowledge Management to package, index, and archive historical construction assets (As-Builts, BIM models, commissioning records).
โ€ข Enforce standardized naming conventions and file metadata guidelines across the DCE department to protect corporate storage hierarchy.
โ€ข Partner with the Platform Administrator to optimize cross-functional workflows, approval routings, and dashboards in enterprise tracking software.
โ€ข Coordinate preparation, legal review, and execution of contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.

Required Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of project administration or program management experience in construction, data centers, or a highly regulated industry.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency using enterprise construction PMIS systems (e.g., Procore), data tracking tools (e.g., MS Project), and blueprint markup applications (e.g., Bluebeam).
  • Experience building process flows, utilizing digital project management tools, and generating KPI dashboards.

Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong capacity for matrix management and cross-departmental influence.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities to address supply chain delays and process bottlenecks.

Base Pay Range:
The annual salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $135,000 - $150,000. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate's experience, location, and qualifications.
Variable Pay:
