Remote Construction Software information

What is remote construction software?

Remote construction software refers to digital tools and platforms designed to help construction teams plan, manage, and collaborate on projects from different locations. These solutions typically offer features such as project scheduling, document management, real-time communication, and progress tracking. By using remote construction software, teams can work efficiently without being physically present at the construction site, which improves coordination, reduces errors, and saves time. Popular examples include Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Buildertrend.

How does working on a remote construction software team differ from traditional on-site construction roles in terms of collaboration and workflow?

Remote construction software teams frequently collaborate across multiple time zones and disciplines, making digital communication and project management tools essential. Unlike traditional on-site roles, much of the interaction happens through virtual meetings, shared platforms, and cloud-based document management. This environment requires strong self-motivation, proactive communication, and adaptability to evolving technologies. Team members often coordinate closely with architects, engineers, and construction managers to ensure digital solutions align with project needs and timelines.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote construction software specialist, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote Construction Software Specialist, you need a solid understanding of construction processes, project management, and strong computer literacy, often supported by relevant degrees or certifications. Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Procore, AutoCAD, or BIM systems, as well as experience with cloud-based collaboration tools, is crucial. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer support skills help you effectively assist teams and clients in a remote environment. These competencies ensure smooth software implementation, user adoption, and successful project outcomes in the construction industry.

What is the difference between Remote Construction Software vs Construction Estimator?

AspectRemote Construction SoftwareConstruction Estimator
CredentialsTypically requires knowledge of construction management and software toolsRequires estimating certifications or experience in cost analysis
Work EnvironmentPrimarily remote, using digital platformsOften on-site or office-based, but increasingly remote for estimations
Industry UsageUsed across construction projects for project management and collaborationUsed specifically for cost estimation and bidding

Remote Construction Software and Construction Estimator roles overlap in the construction industry, but serve different functions. Remote Construction Software focuses on project management and collaboration tools, often used remotely, while Construction Estimators specialize in cost analysis and bidding, which can be done on-site or remotely. Both roles require construction knowledge, but their primary focus and work environments differ.

Director: Partner Alliance

Info Tech, Inc.

Gainesville, FL • Remote

Full-time

Posted 28 days ago

Key responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the partnership ecosystem, including strategy and operations.

  • Develop and execute a co-selling go-to-market strategy, including market identification, partner recruitment, and incentive program design.

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure API and marketplace are developer-friendly, including creating certification and onboarding programs.

Job description

At Infotech, we aren’t just building a SaaS platform; we’re building the "center of gravity" for our customers' digital workflows. We are looking for a Director of Partner Alliance who is more than just a networker—we need an architect.

As a strategic leader and our primary "industry diplomat," you will build, scale, and manage a world-class ecosystem of channel partners, technology integrators, and strategic alliances. Your goal? To turn our partner program into a massive force multiplier for Infotech’s revenue and product innovation.

What you’ll do

You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of our partnership ecosystem, balancing high-level strategy with operational excellence.

  • Architect the Ecosystem: Develop and execute a co-selling GTM strategy. You’ll identify untapped markets, recruit local experts, and design competitive incentive programs (referrals, white-labeling) to drive lead volume.
  • Bridge Product & Tech: Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure our API and marketplace are irresistible to developers. You’ll create the certification and onboarding programs that set the gold standard for implementation.
  • Strategic Diplomacy: Lead high-stakes negotiations and represent Infotech at global summits. You’ll ensure the partner roadmap is perfectly synced with our core product vision.
  • Operational Leadership: Own the Partner Dashboard. You’ll track the metrics that matter—Partner-Sourced Lead Volume, Integration Adoption, and Partner NPS—while managing the tech stack that keeps our partners connected.
  • Lead & Innovate: Build and mentor a high-performing team. You’ll manage budgets, oversee talent planning, and champion a culture of innovation across the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must have

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 8 years relevant experience; or Master’s Degree in related field and 6 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Who You Are

  • A Strategic Powerhouse: You see the "big picture" and know how to align partner goals with company KPIs.
  • A Master Negotiator: You have a track record of closing mutually beneficial, legally sound agreements with major tech players.
  • Tech-Fluent: You understand APIs and integrations enough to advocate for third-party developers and bridge the gap between business and engineering.
  • An Inspiring Leader: You enjoy coaching talent and fostering a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Data-Driven: You don’t just "feel" like things are going well; you use dashboards and metrics to prove it.
