Job description

Job Overview:
APTIM is currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager's Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Plans (Quality Control Program) Manager to support remediation and site restoration activities. The successful candidate will possess At least three (3) years of quality assurance management experience within the past five (5) years, on projects. Such experience may include but not be limited to technical and administrative support services, data management, scheduling, resource allocation, and performance monitoring. Strong interpersonal skills are a must, including the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both written and verbally, to all stakeholders and project team members alike, including homeowners, client representatives, regulators, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor and on-site project staff to manage and accomplish the overall quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) objectives
  • Have experience specific to developing and implementing QA/QC plans related to construction projects including removal or remedial projects under CERCLA
  • Ensuring quality program aligns with regulatory requirements and produces valid and defensible data.
  • Conducting weekly project meetings with staff, subcontractors and customer representatives
  • Writing clear and concise reports
  • Implementing a tracking system for nonconforming materials, tests and field work
  • Coordinating field inspections and testing with Government Quality Assurance (QA) staff.
  • Maintain strict adherence to company safety and quality programs.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Possess Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering field or other discipline as may be applicable to environmental remediation activities.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience within the past 5 years as a Quality Manager.
  • Possess current Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration as a Civil Engineer in the state of Arizona
  • Have OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification with up to date annual 8-hour refresher.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends, to meet project deadlines.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $93,000 - $125,000 Per Year. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
