Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Construction Project Manager oversees all phases of building projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and up to code. Key responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, hiring subcontractors, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Project Manager will manage all phases of construction task orders from RFP to completion.
  • The Project Manager will be responsible for developing RS Means or similar pricing proposals when required.
  • Identify and evaluate effective subcontractors, build relationships to ensure effective pricing for each RFP element.
  • Support multiple construction RFP in diverse geographical locations including support for customers with secret work requirements.
  • Develop Quality Control procedures and ensure all projects are completed in accordance with the scope of work.
  • Ensure all projects meet the desired financial metrics identified in the RFP phase.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on schedule without delay.
  • Develop and implement safety programs for projects and ensure all work is completed in accordance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.
  • Supervise trades personnel and subcontractors in the execution of construction task orders.
  • Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A BA/BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is the minimum formal education required for this position.
  • A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying.
  • Two (2) or more years' experience managing projects greater than $10M.
  • Six (6) or more years or equivalent work experience as a Project Engineer and Assistant Project Manager (or equivalent) in the construction industry required. Work experience in the design-build industry desired.
  • 50% or more travel required.
  • RS Means Estimating Experience Preferred
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office - esp. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
  • Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred.
  • State Certified General Contractor's license required(CA,AZ,NM,CO),and/or NASCLA Certification preferred
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required. Training can be provided. STS certification preferred.
  • LEED GA Credential or AP/AP+ preferred.
