Financial Analyst (Sepulveda Finance & Accounting)ย 

This is a remote position, and you have the option to elect into a 9/80 flex work schedule.ย 

The pay range for this position is between $71,494-$82,219 annually. ย

Summary

As a Financial Analyst, you will perform a variety of functions, including creating forecasts and conducting financial analyses. You will alsoย provide actionable insights to support decision-making and contribute to the organizationโ€™s financial strategy and planning.

Primary Dutiesย 

  • Participates in the preparation of agency budget.ย 
  • Supports preparation of contract renewal packages including amendments and budget modifications.ย 
  • Prepares and analyzes operating and strategic plans, including monthly and quarterly forecasts.ย ย ย 
  • Designs complex worksheets and/or databases for tracking and reporting.ย 
  • Provides financial and technicalย expertiseย on projects requiring complex financial analysis.ย 
  • Produces monthly budget monitoring reports for corporate finance, explaining budget to actual variances.ย ย 
  • Prepares and publishes monthly operating management reports and attends financial review meetings.ย 
  • Assistsย in the preparation of financial statements, periodic and year endย contract based cost reports.ย 
  • Assistsย with financial reporting, preparation of supportingย schedulesย and data analysis.ย 
  • Monthly expense monitoring and analysis.ย 
  • Performs related duties as requested.ย 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with three plus years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding ofย accounting principles and practices.ย 
  • Abilityย to create draw insights from reports and/or dashboards using reporting tools equivalent to Power BI is highly desirable.ย ย 
  • Intermediate knowledge of budget development/management, costย projectionsย and reporting requirements.ย 
  • Advanced personal computer skills including preparation of complex Excel spreadsheets, routine wordย processingย and preparation of presentations to a sophisticated audience.ย ย 
  • Communication skills and ability to build relationships and consensus both internally and externally.ย 
  • The ability to present ideas,ย informationย and viewpoints clearly both verbally and in writing.ย 
  • Effective oral and writtenย communicationsย skills.ย 
  • The analytical skills,ย experienceย and good judgment to present and explain financial analyses.ย
