Remote Construction Data Analytics information

What is remote construction data analytics?

Remote construction data analytics involves collecting, processing, and analyzing data from construction projects without being physically present on-site. Professionals in this field use digital tools and software to monitor project progress, track equipment and materials, and identify trends or issues from a distance. This approach helps optimize decision-making, improve project efficiency, and reduce costs by leveraging real-time data and insights. Remote analytics are increasingly important as construction companies adopt more technology-driven methods.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote construction data analytics, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in remote construction data analytics often encounter challenges such as data inconsistency from multiple sources, limited real-time access to on-site information, and effective communication with field teams. To address these, it's important to establish standardized data collection protocols, leverage cloud-based tools for real-time data sharing, and maintain regular virtual meetings with project stakeholders. Building strong relationships with both technical and construction teams also helps ensure that analytics insights are actionable and relevant to on-site operations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Construction Data Analytics professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Construction Data Analytics professional, you need a strong background in data analysis, construction management principles, and a relevant degree such as construction engineering, data science, or a related field. Familiarity with analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and construction management systems such as Procore or Autodesk BIM 360 is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail are soft skills that help translate complex data insights to project stakeholders. These skills ensure accurate, actionable analytics that drive efficiency, cost savings, and informed decision-making in construction projects.

Job description

Location: Omaha, NE; Fargo, ND; Sioux Falls, SD; Irvine, CA or other Eide Bailly markets

Work Arrangement: Remote / Hybrid (near Eide Bailly location)

Typical Day in the Life

Eide Bailly is seeking a results-driven Sales Executive with strong Microsoft data and analytics experience to help expand our Microsoft Data, Analytics, and AI advisory practice. This role is focused on identifying, shaping, and closing opportunities that help mid-market clients modernize their analytics platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure, and related technologies.

You will partner closely with technical delivery teams and Microsoft to position modern analytics solutions that improve decision-making, scalability, governance, and business outcomes. While this role is Microsoft-first, experience with comparable platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) is highly relevant and valued. A typical day in this role might include:

  • Proactively identifying, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities for Microsoft-based analytics, Fabric, and data modernization solutions in mid-market industries.
  • Positioning Microsoft Fabric workloads at a business level, including analytics use cases, modernization value, and consumption-based models.
  • Engaging executive stakeholders (C-suite, CIO, CFO, VP Data/Analytics) to align business goals with modern analytics architectures.
  • Partnering with internal delivery teams (Data & AI, Integration, Cloud, and Security) to shape solutions that align Microsoft capabilities to client outcomes.
  • Collaborating with Microsoft field teams and ecosystem partners to support co-sell motions and joint opportunities.
  • Educating prospects on analytics modernization concepts such as lakehouse architectures, orchestration, governance, and capacity-based pricing.
  • Researching prospects to understand data maturity, platform sprawl, modernization triggers, and compliance considerations.
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline forecasting and communicating progress with sales and go-to-market leadership.
  • Representing Eide Bailly at Microsoft events, industry forums, and community organizations.

What You're Accountable For

  • Achieving individual revenue and quota targets
  • Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
  • Expanding analytics and data platform opportunities within named accounts
  • Leading consultative sales motions aligned to Microsoft technologies
  • Following Eide Bailly sales, compliance, and operational processes

Core Microsoft & Analytics Knowledge (Sales-Level)

We are ultimately seeking candidates with strong Microsoft experience, including:

  • Microsoft Fabric fundamentals
  • Fabric workload positioning at the business level
  • Power BI within a Fabric and capacity-based context
  • Data integration and orchestration concepts (e.g., pipelines, ingestion, transformation)
  • Modern analytics architectures (lakehouse, data warehouse modernization, cloud-first analytics)
  • Security, governance, and compliance awareness (sales-level domain knowledge)
  • Fabric capacity and commercial model awareness
  • Analytics modernization and migration scenarios

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of consultative sales or business development experience, ideally in analytics, cloud, AI, or digital transformation
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft data platforms and how to connect technology capabilities to business outcomes
  • Comfortable discussing analytics architecture and modernization at an executive level (without being hands-on technical)
  • A natural hunter with strong discovery, storytelling, and closing skills
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and energized by complex solution selling
  • Excellent executive communication and relationship-building skills
  •

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
