Conflicts Attorney (Temporary, Remote | CA Bar Required | $100/hr)
Our client, a top-tier national law firm has a need for an experienced Conflicts Attorney, fully remote engagement.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly respected firm on sophisticated conflicts and intake matters in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: 3-6 months (potential extension)
  • Location: 100% Remote
  • Compensation: $100/hour
  • Bar Requirement: CA bar required

What You'll Do
  • Review, analyze, and resolve complex conflicts of interest issues
  • Draft and review engagement letters, audit letters, conflict waivers, and ethical waivers
  • Evaluate Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs)
  • Support new business intake (NBI) and lateral conflict clearance
  • Establish and monitor ethical walls
  • Partner with firm leadership and General Counsel on risk-related matters

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of law firm experience in conflicts or risk/compliance roles
  • Strong working knowledge of ABA Model Rules and California ethics rules
  • Proven experience handling lateral conflicts and NBI processes
  • Detail-oriented with excellent judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Physical Requirements • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations • Work is generally performed sitting, talking, hearing, and typing • This is a high-volume screen-based role, requiring constant, prolonged computer usage, including but not limited to: reviewing documents, managing visual content, and attending virtual meetings • Visual acuity required for computer use, data analysis, and extended reading • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and document handling • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching • Ability to lift and carry items weighting up to 15 pounds
