Salary: $75k - $115k per year

Position Overview:

The Structural Concrete Foreman is a working foreman position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a concrete crew performing structural concrete work on heavy, highway, and civil construction projects. This role requires hands-on involvement, including operating equipment and performing physical labor such as forming, reinforcing, placing, and finishing concrete. The Foreman ensures all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards, while coordinating closely with project supervision and reporting directly to the Concrete Superintendent or Project Manager. TDOT experience is a plus.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Crew Supervision:
    • Lead and manage the daily activities of the concrete crew, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and adherence to project schedules. Coordinate with other foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain workflow and avoid delays.
    • Assign tasks, provide direction, and monitor crew performance to ensure quality workmanship.
  2. Quality Assurance & Safety:
    • Enforce all company and site-specific safety protocols and conduct ongoing jobsite safety monitoring.
    • Conduct daily safety briefings and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
    • Ensure all concrete work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  3. Concrete Operations & Equipment Use:
    • Supervise and actively participate in concrete forming, reinforcing steel placement, concrete pours, and finishing operations.
    • Operate construction equipment and tools as required to support concrete operations.
    • Ensure proper setup, use, and care of concrete-related equipment and form systems.
  4. Team Leadership & Coordination:
    • Motivate and lead the crew, fostering teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
    • Maintain clear communication between the crew, superintendent, project management, and inspectors.
  5. Resource Management:
    • Manage labor, materials, and equipment efficiently to meet production goals.
    • Plan daily work activities and material needs to prevent downtime or shortages.
  6. Problem Solving & Risk Management:
    • Identify constructability issues or potential conflicts and develop practical solutions.
    • Respond promptly to field challenges to minimize impact on schedule and quality.
  7. Documentation & Reporting:

Preferred Qualifications:
