Internal Communications Strategist


***Remote Option - Candidates must reside in one of the following states: NE or IA

Monday - Friday; first shift. This role has the opportunity to work from home in a hybrid capacity, but not fully remote

Serve as a trusted strategic communications advisor and primary communications contact for internal Nebraska Medicine departments and key business units. By developing strong and trusting relationships with department leaders, build and execute internal communications plans designed to achieve department business and enterprise goals. The internal communications strategist works in concert with other Marketing and Communications team members including marketing strategists, media relations coordinators, and graphic designers.

Required Qualifications:

Six years' experience in corporate communications, public relations, journalism or marketingrequired.

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public affairs or related fieldrequired.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams)required.

Experience creating multi-media communications such as video, photos and creative AP-style required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare experience preferred.
