Job description

Summary:

An IT application team member who serves as a key resource performing activities related to the design, build, implementation and support of assigned Information Systems. Works with designated departments, community and business partners, and vendors of Nuvance Heath to analyze and support workflow, operations and achieve best practices. Administers, maintains, upgrades, monitors and tests operating systems and hardware. Analyzes needs, develops and implements computer-based solutions. Advises management concerning technical matters. Coordinates integration and support of an application or system through technical and business knowledge. Enhances and implements computer systems by applying knowledge of system analysis design, coding and testing. Contributes to customer service by providing effective computer based solutions to business needs. Works with department to identify business needs and develop suitable technical solutions This is a mid-level analyst position and supports a larger application team under the supervision of the application team manager and assigned team leads if applicable. The position requires a general knowledge of systems, change management processes, demonstrated ability to operate independently and sufficiently support all aspects of the applications assigned.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluates requests for new or modified computer programs or system changes to determine feasibility and compatibility with current system and computer capabilities.

2. Confers with representatives from departments to identify current and projected business objectives, applying technical and business knowledge to provide guidance and recommendations for solutions to business problems or system enhancements.

3. Develops specifications for system changes, converts specifications into logical work efforts, and provides reliable estimates for completion times.

4. Coordinates work of others to analyze, develop, test, install, and implement system changes. Trains and advises programmers, analysts and senior programs analysts by applying analysis and technical skills to provide guidance and recommendations for solutions to system changes.

5. Provides 24/7 support, for Nuvance Health as a whole, through investigation & analysis of problems using documentation, manuals, debugging tools & logic to resolve problems, prevent recurrence & ensure continuity. Takes remote call for off-shift, weekends & holidays as assigned

6. Participates in the establishment and achievement of department goals to ensure fulfillment of department mission.

7. Achieves the organization's established expectations with regard to quality service, team work and self-development.

11. Serve as primary resource for others in support of assigned applications throughout all Nuvance sites, troubleshooting problems, and providing technical expertise.

12. Provides for continuity of service by ensuring backups and disaster planning are up-to-date and accurate

Education Skills Experience:

  • Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years of Information Technology Experience and/or equivalent applicable clinical experience.
