Operating within the core values and operating principals of the organization, the Business Analyst I will, facilitate the business application development process between Information Technology and the internal business partners, gathering requirements necessary to meet corporate goals. The primary focus of this role will be on small to medium projects and providing support other Business Analysts on larger projects.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Business and Development teams in Story Mapping Sessions
  • Create Persona's that bring focus and direction to the creation of story cards and other project artifacts.
  • Balance the right amount of business and technical analysis necessary for the team to be successful in planning both the project and individual sprints.
  • Comfortable interacting with both the business and technical organizations
  • Work with QA team to provide acceptance criteria for business objectives
  • Assist in validation of technical deliverables for completeness, accuracy and quality.
  • Create screen mockups or wireframes to demonstrate designs
  • Function as a liaison between assigned business units and IT resources. Assist the IT team in providing analytical support, facilitating research, questions, issues or other needs presented by the business units.
  • Proactively work with all roles on the project team to provide support as needed to ensure overall quality and success of initiatives
  • Develop a knowledge and expertise relative to AAA Life and its products, systems, and programs, and business processes
  • Handle additional project assignments such as testing or assisting the PM as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst or similar experience gathering requirements
  • Proven experience using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio
  • Experience within an organization practicingย Agileย software development
  • Insurance industry expertise preferred
