Job description

Our Hanover Technology Group is currently seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst located in our Worcester, MA office or remote work location. This is a full-time, exempt role.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an advanced-level IT Business Analyst with strong data analysis and data mapping experience to join a dynamic team supporting systems that drive business outcomes for our Claims organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to partner closely with both business and technology stakeholders and is ideal for an experienced Hanover employee looking for a new, creative challenge.

The Senior IT Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between business and technical teams, supporting objectives within the Claims organization. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, gathering, prioritizing, documenting, and communicating business needs and requirements. You will build strong relationships with business partners by demonstrating a deep understanding of applications, systems, and products.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and a strong problem solver with excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will leverage these strengths to partner effectively across teams to develop requirements and deliver solutions to complex business challenges.

With a blend of business analysis expertise, technical capability, and growing system knowledge, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our business applications.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Collaborate with business partners, project teams, IT colleagues, and external vendors to ensure clear understanding of business problems, desired outcomes, and scope
  • Provide technical expertise across Claims and Infrastructure systems, understanding the relationships between business processes, data, and supporting technology
  • Serve as a project lead on small to medium-sized initiatives and technology-driven efforts
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
  • Lead the design, testing, and implementation of solutions
  • Identify business priorities and advise stakeholders on potential solutions and technical constraints
  • Ensure adherence to data governance standards, including how data is captured, stored, structured, and shared
  • Develop and apply specialized skills in business systems analysis and data analysis
