POSITION SUMMARY

The Epic Technical Analyst provides cross-application technical support is responsible for the Epic environment, with responsibility for assigned technical functions such as Data Courier administration, application security coordination, and Epic Bridges interface analysis. This role serves as a key technical resource for design, configuration, implementation, go-live, upgrade integration, testing, maintenance, optimization, and long-term production support activities across our assigned Epic applications and integrated third-party systems interfaces. This position combines the responsibilities of an Epic Application Analyst, Application Coordinator, and Bridges Interface Analyst to provide comprehensive functional and technical support across the Epic environment. 

The Epic Technical Analyst collaborates with Epic representatives, clinical and operational departments, application teams, infrastructure teams, operational stakeholders, vendors, and subject matter experts.  Epic representatives to analyze business needs, configure and support translate organizational requirements into reliable technical solutions, coordinate issue resolution, support. The role supports application build, workflow design, interface development, system integration, troubleshooting, upgrades, testing, documentation, and validation, and ensure reliable data exchange between Epic and internal or external systems ongoing optimization. 

This position supports the migration of application build across Epic environments, security provisioning and user access processes, and the full implementation cycle for assigned interfaces, web services, and industry-standard APIs such as FHIR. The Analyst is expected to troubleshoot technical issues, communicate impact clearly, escalate risks appropriately, and maintain documentation and procedures that support dependable Epic operations.

Remote Assessment Requirements

  • Applicants must complete an EPIC assessment as part of the hiring process.
  • Assessment Availability: Applicants will be sent a link to schedule
  • Time Commitment: Approximately 2 hours

Certification Requirements

  • EPIC certification is mandatory and must be completed within the scope of the project timeline.
  • Will be provided three (3) attempts to pass

Schedule & Expectations

  • Work hours may vary based on project needs, and flexibility is required. Outside of major project events, work will generally occur during normal weekday business hours in the Central Time Zone.
  • Applicants must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
  • On-call coverage for weeknights and weekends may be required after project go-live to support critical issues that impact patient care, billing, or revenue cycle operations.
  • ETO may be restricted during major project events and transition-readiness activities to ensure adequate project coverage and support.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel will be required depending on the project phase and business needs. This includes air travel with multi-day visits.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
 
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Allied Health, Business Administration, or a related field required. 
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant healthcare information technology experience may be considered.
Minimum Experience
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare information systems, application support, systems integration, software configuration, or related technical work
  • Experience with application configuration, interface development, workflow analysis, or healthcare integration  
Required Registration/License/Certification
  • Epic certification must be obtained and maintained according to organizational requirements.
