  • Secure Artificial Intelligence (AI) Pipeline Integration: Embed automated security scans into CI/CD pipelines specifically tailored for AI training data, code, and model artifacts.

Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
In addition to the basic requirements above, all applicants must meet the qualification requirements below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

To qualify for the Computer Scientist, PG-1550-13, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-12 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in other pay systems that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
1). Designing, implementing, and securing Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled application environments, including integrating automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines; protecting AI training data and model artifacts; testing for AI-specific vulnerabilities and adversarial threats; securing AI infrastructure; and implementing continuous monitoring and auditing of AI models and workloads.
2). Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise cybersecurity and application security processes, including vulnerability management, security testing, risk mitigation, incident response, security controls, secure application development, and compliance with applicable Federal information security standards and frameworks.
3). Designing, implementing, and supporting DevSecOps and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or comparable technologies, including automated build, testing, security scanning, software composition analysis, deployment, infrastructure configuration, and operational processes that support secure, reliable, and maintainable enterprise applications.

This position has an education requirement. You MUST provide transcripts to support your educational claims. Basic Education Requirement: You must have completed a bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science that included 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of coursework in any combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science, with at least half of those hours in mathematics and statistics courses that included differential and integral calculus; and that provided an in-depth knowledge of theoretical and practical applications of computer science, including digital computer system architecture and system software organization, the representation and transformation of information structures, and the theoretical models for such representations and transformations.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof that the educational credentials have been deemed at least equivalent to those earned in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

This review could include financial issues such as delinquency in the payment of debts, child support and/or tax obligations, as well as criminal offenses and illegal use or possession of drugs; this process may take 6 weeks or longer. The Agency may rescind the tentative offer if the candidate is unable to pass the background investigation.
