Your role
Are You Our Next Field Service Technician?
Do you thrive on solving problems, tackling challenges under pressure, and delivering exceptional results? If so, we're looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team and make a meaningful impact!
In this role, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert in the field for Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems and travel to provide world class technical support onsite at our customers in your dedicated region. You will travel to customer sites to perform various tasks that could include new installations, commissioning, preventative maintenance, or calibrations on our tools and assembly systems, all while working under minimum supervision. You will also provide service coordination, cross-functional knowledge sharing, and team member support.
Here's how you'll make an impact:
  • Build strong relationships with your customers and assist with any issues that may arise
  • Create detailed reports and capture costs through timely administrative work
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting, programming, and repairs
  • Reinforce the correct operation and "Best Practices" of Atlas Copco equipment to our customers
  • Willing and able to respond and travel to emergency field repair of Atlas Copco equipment
  • Coordinate your travel schedule and accommodations to visit customer sites
  • Interface with customers externally within your region, as well as internally within our own company.

You will report directly to the Regional Team Leader and support customers in the South West region. Candidates will ideally reside in Kansas or Missouri.
To succeed, you will need
  • Ability to travel up to 60% locally and 40% nationally- this will be regionally dependent
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule
  • At least 2-3 years of experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Customer service excellence and ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • IT, MS Office products, and networking or wireless communication proficiency
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
  • Ability to summarize technical problems and resolutions
  • Have an interest and passion in furthering knowledge of industrial tooling
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Have a valid US Driver's License
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
