Job Description:
Customer Service Representative (Remote)
Pay:
- $14.00/hour during training
- $14.50/hour once in production
Position Overview
In this role, you will use your excellent customer service skills, patience, and compassion to answer inbound calls from members regarding their healthcare benefits. You will assist customers by answering questions, providing accurate information, and delivering a positive customer experience.
In addition to your hourly pay, you may have opportunities to earn performance-based incentives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off (PTO).
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally handle a high volume of inbound customer calls.
- Gather customer information accurately and efficiently.
- Assess customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Educate customers on products, services, and healthcare benefits.
- Navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously.
- Meet attendance, productivity, and performance expectations.
- Resolve customer concerns whenever possible using one-call resolution.
- Follow company policies while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
- Document customer interactions accurately.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and customer experience.
- Adapt to changes in procedures and business needs.
- Be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Healthcare or medical terminology experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable working with senior citizens.
- Ability to identify customer needs and explain available services.
- Reliable attendance and dependability.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
- Dedicated home workspace that is quiet and free from distractions.
Work-from-Home Requirements
Internet
- Wired Ethernet connection required (wireless is not permitted).
- Minimum internet speed:
- 50 Mbps download
- 10 Mbps upload
- DSL, Cable, or Fiber Optic internet only.
- Satellite, microwave, and cellular hotspot internet are not permitted.
