Job Title: Network Security Engineer
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure network architecture (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, proxies, etc.).
- Monitor network traffic and logs for suspicious activity and respond to threats in real time.
- Configure and manage firewall policies, VPN access, and secure remote connectivity.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and risk assessments.
- Manage security tools and technologies such as Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, or Juniper.
- Implement and maintain SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) and support incident response activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with system and cloud engineers to secure hybrid environments (on-prem/cloud).
- Create and maintain up-to-date security documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Research and recommend new technologies to improve overall network security posture.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in network and information security roles.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, firewall rules, routing, and network protocols.
- Proficiency with firewall technologies and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience with security tools like Wireshark, Nmap, Nessus, or Metasploit.
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or MITRE ATT&CK.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
