Job description

Job Title: IT Business Analyst Location: Memphis, Tennessee Type: Contract Compensation: Negotiable Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote Hours: 40 hrs a week Security Clearance: Not required, there will be a background check

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple cloud-based business applications within the IS Administrative portfolio.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Work with support teams to troubleshoot application defects.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with technical teams and vendors.
  • Assist with project management responsibilities.
  • Monitor and maintain timeclocks and other hardware across the St. Jude campus.
  • Available to work on-site, as needed, for on-campus-related issues and activities.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders & vendors to support delivery of solutions in line with business plans.
  • Participate in application enhancement efforts following established SDLC methodologies.
  • Create and maintain business process documentation and workflow diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of business processes and application functionality.
  • Configure vendor-hosted applications using approved administrative tools.
  • Analyze application data and database structures to support troubleshooting and reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Requirements
  • Experience with structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies preferred.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, process designs, and reporting requirements preferred.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based/vendor-hosted applications highly preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and work independently.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement and project management methodologies.
  • Functional knowledge of application databases and vendor-supplied configuration/integration tools.
  • Experience creating process documentation using Microsoft Visio (process flows and swim lane diagrams).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, end users, vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Basic hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a client-facing IT role.
