The Senior HRIS Analyst will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and ensures delivery of high-quality services and products to internal and external customers. Serves as a primary point-of-contact for the Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence functional areas of Workday. Manages complex technical issues, providing advanced troubleshooting support, and delivering innovative solutions to enhance system functionality. Creates technical documentation and provide expert guidance to stakeholders.Supports HR teams by addressing requests for Workday security and reporting related to Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence. Owns the system configuration, assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, executes and oversees testing of system changes, and analyzes processes for improvement opportunities. Participates in Workday releases to understand new and changing functionality. Responds to internal and external requests for information. Maintains strict confidentiality and works with a high level of customer service. Responsible for day-to-day HRIS operations and projects as assigned.

What will you do?

  • Designs, builds, tests, maintains and enhances business processes within HRIS according to company policy and guidelines.

  • Participates in bi-annual Workday releases to identify opportunities to enhance our environment in alignment with the HR Technology roadmap.

  • Serves as subject matter expert for Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking

  • Coordinates or supports the needs of other teams within and outside of the HR department that impact HR systems.

  • Continuously increases technical and industry trend knowledge by participating in Workday Community and other forums

  • Performs special projects or related duties as assigned or as situation dictates.

  • Serve as technical support for Workday U.S. Payroll, specializing in resolving intricate issues and providing expert guidance to the payroll team.

  • Take ownership of configuring and maintaining Workday U.S. Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking modules, ensuring precise and streamlined processing of payroll data with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

  • Foster seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams including Compensation and Benefits to elicit requirements, offer advanced technical solutions, and lead delivery of system enhancements.

  • Organize and lead meetings with stakeholder group, contributing insights, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

  • Create documentation of processes, configurations, and issue resolutions, ensuring comprehensive records are readily accessible.

  • Exhibit effective communication skills when liaising with end-users, vendors, and team members, delivering articulate and succinct technical guidance.

  • Troubleshoot system issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions.

  • In collaboration with HR teams, complete all needed unit testing and applicable documentation prior to implementation related to all business processes, updates, upgrades, and project work

  • Exhibit effective communication skills when liaising with end-users, vendors, and team members, delivering articulate and succinct technical guidance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of payroll operations and system configuration within Workday.

  • Workday Payroll Certification or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and laws governing US human resources and payroll processes.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause resolution.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical users.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

  • Hands-on experience with Workday EIBs, calculated fields, condition rules, and security configuration.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field or equivalent

  • 5 or more years HRIS Workday experience

  • Prior role supporting Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking (PATT)

  • Experience with Workday Reporting and Security

  • MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Business Workflow and System Configuration

  • Software implementation and development

  • Knowledge and understanding of HRIS functional areas

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Azure, ServiceNow, or similar

  • Workday Pro Certification and/or Workday training

  • Human Resource laws and practices

  • Workday HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits

  • Familiarity with third-party payroll integrations (e.g. ADP).

  • Workday Pro certifications in Payroll, Absence and /or Time Tracking

  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.

  • Experience proactively identifying and addressing both system and process-based issues

In accordance with state pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith salary range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this job is $120,000 - $140,000 annually based on the primary posting location of Omaha, Nebraska. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.

Eligible employees receive up to 15 days of vacation time, 65 days (85 day maximum in a two-year period) of sick pay, up to 20 days of paid parental time, seven paid holidays, two floating holidays and potential for a discretionary bonus.
