Job description

Provn is hiring a Senior Agentic Software Engineer for a travel technology company building its platform on the latest AI-powered development tools. You're not just using AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) in your daily workflow, you're defining how the entire engineering organization uses them.

Comp: Discussed at interview stage. Remote, US-based.

Apply directly here:

provn.co/org/arrivia/jobs/eb37a2b9-e60d-4cac-8a3b-a6dac15711f5/senior-agentic-software-engineer?utm_source=dstribute&utm_medium=job+board&utm_campaign=arrivia-sr-swe

At this level, you operate with broad organizational scope. You architect systems, set technical direction, and drive engineering standards across teams. You'll make the high-impact architectural calls that shape the platform's technical foundation, balance innovation against risk, and lead the company's adoption of agentic development practices. You'll also architect the MCP ecosystem that connects AI agents to internal tools and data, and mentor engineers across the organization.

What you'll be doing:

  • Architecting, designing, and delivering features and services across a full-stack travel platform as a technical leader
  • Writing clean, testable, optimized code, whether authored manually or collaboratively with AI agents
  • Driving the adoption and standardization of agentic coding tools across engineering, including best practices, prompt libraries, and workflows that amplify developer productivity organization-wide
  • Setting the quality standard across teams for reviewing and validating AI-generated code
  • Designing the organization's agentic workflow strategy: patterns and platforms that automate testing, documentation, code review triage, and deployment checks at scale
  • Architecting Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations that connect AI agents to internal tools, data sources, and platform services, and defining the strategic blueprint for agent capabilities across the development lifecycle
  • Leading refactoring and modernization of services that have outlasted their original implementations using cloud-native distributed design
  • Increasing engineering velocity through processes and implementations that let the team ship quicker, learn sooner, and isolate blast radius
  • Establishing backend and system SLOs that hold up as the platform scales
  • Partnering with Risk and Security teams to safeguard member data
  • Mentoring and guiding engineers across teams on agentic development, prompt engineering, and workflow design

What we're looking for:

  • 8+ years of full-stack development and architectural experience building web applications and services
  • Expert proficiency using AI coding agents in professional development workflows
  • Strong proficiency in two or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET
  • Deep experience with modern frontend frameworks: React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular
  • Proven ability to architect and deliver cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Extensive experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI coding agents to scale engineering velocity, quality, and automation across a team or organization
  • Advanced prompt engineering skills, including the ability to establish prompt patterns and libraries others can build from
  • Deep understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and experience architecting MCP server ecosystems for secure, structured AI agent access
  • Solid experience with real-time streaming and distributed messaging platforms like Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Agile software delivery experience
  • Significant experience leading technical designs, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering maturity at an organizational level
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Bonus points for working knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, RAG, LangChain, or graph-based data technologies (GraphRAG, GraphDB)

Must be authorized to work in the US. No visa sponsorship.
