Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments through video or phone consultations to determine patients' mental health status and needs.
  • Design individualized therapy plans that incorporate evidence-based techniques tailored to address unique client issues.
  • Facilitate regular therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, ensuring each patient receives practical tools and strategies for overcoming challenges.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes within the EHR, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and community services, to create a holistic support network for patients.
  • Stay updated on the latest mental health research and treatment methodologies to provide optimal care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role encompasses a diverse range of mental health needs, including but not limited to substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma, and eating disorders. You will work with a variety of patients from different cultural backgrounds, necessitating a deep understanding of cultural competence in therapy. Your ability to connect with clients will foster trust and encourage open communication, which is key to achieving positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
  • A minimum of four years of clinical experience in the mental health field.
  • A strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and a commitment to culturally responsive care.
  • Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records and standard computer applications.
  • A demonstrated ability to cultivate effective interpersonal relationships with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Capability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in group therapy facilitation and community mental health initiatives.
  • Knowledge of telehealth best practices and virtual therapy delivery methods.
  • Previous work experience with specific mental health disorders relevant to our client demographics.
Compensation and Benefits
