  • Conduct real-time surveillance using advanced SCADA platforms, identifying early signs of abnormal operation or potential failures.
  • Independently fine-tune operating parameters such as speed, cycles, and control setpoints to optimize production, safeguard equipment, and extend run life.
  • Diagnose equipment performance issues through live data and trending analysis.
  • Execute predefined alarm responses, escalate issues appropriately, and make rapid risk-based decisions for immediate intervention or continued monitoring.
  • Prevent costly failures through proactive detection and intervention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, shift handovers, and event logs.
  • Collaborate effectively with field operations, engineering, and automation teams to ensure seamless operations.

Required Skills
  • 2-5 years of direct experience in artificial lift or compressor operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Artificial Lift Systems (ESP, Gas Lift, GAPL, Plunger Lift), surface/downhole components, controllers, and VSDs.
  • Solid understanding of compression systems, rotating equipment, suction/discharge conditions, and associated control systems.
  • Proficiency in SCADA platforms, remote control, and surveillance dashboards.
  • Electrical savvy with understanding of amps, volts, torque, and power quality.
  • Mechanical knowledge of load, speed, and vibration parameters.
  • Familiarity with reservoir/production metrics like pressure, fluid levels, and pump fillage.
  • Awareness of inflow behavior, drawdown, gas interference, and pump-off dynamics.
  • Understanding of safe operating envelopes, shutdown thresholds, and restart procedures.
  • Knowledge of electrical hazards, interlocks, logic systems, and emergency shutdown protocols.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Operational knowledge of SCADA systems (XSPOC preferred).
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice to Have Skills
  • Prior experience with automation integration and advanced surveillance analytics.
  • Certifications related to electrical safety, NDT, or instrumentation.
  • Experience working remotely in an operational or technical capacity.
