Community Manager
Healio is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Community Manager to own the day-to-day health, engagement and member experience of the brandโ€™s healthcare provider community. This role will cultivate an active and valuable professional community by developing engagement initiatives and programming, building relationships with members and ensuring the community reflects their interests, needs and professional priorities.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and relationship builder who can turn audience insights into meaningful experiences. This person will be comfortable experimenting with new approaches to engagement, analyzing community performance and collaborating across teams to improve registration, participation and the overall member experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day community experience, fostering meaningful conversation, connection and participation among members.
  • Develop and execute initiatives that increase member activation, engagement and retention.
  • Build relationships with members, subject-matter experts and community advocates to strengthen participation and inform community direction.
  • Develop and manage a calendar of community programming, including discussions, virtual events, expert conversations and other engagement opportunities.
  • Create community-first content, including discussion prompts, polls and member spotlights, based on member interests and emerging trends.
  • Track community performance and use engagement data and member feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Gather and share insights about member needs, interests and behaviors to help inform community strategy and broader organizational initiatives.
  • Test and refine engagement approaches based on performance and member response.
  • Partner with editorial, product and marketing teams to support community growth, programming and member experience.
Qualified candidates must have:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in community management, audience engagement, digital content, communications, events or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A bachelorโ€™s degree in journalism, English, Communications or a related field;
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and engage professional audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience developing programming, events, content or engagement campaigns.
  • Comfort using analytics and qualitative feedback to evaluate performance and inform decisions.
  • Collaborative mindset and experience working across multiple teams and functions.
  • Ability to work independently, identify opportunities and move initiatives forward with limited direction.
  • Experience working with healthcare professionals or within healthcare, medical education, medical publishing or a related industry is strongly preferred.
The annual base salary for this position is $65,000 to $75,000. Placement within this range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, education, years and level of experience and equity with internal team members. Employees living within a 50-mile radius of the office will be scheduled to work two days per week in our Thorofare, NJ location. Remote applicants will be considered.
