In this position, you will conduct therapy sessions remotely, allowing flexibility for both you and your clients.

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments to collect relevant information, history, and presenting issues, which will inform the development of personalized treatment goals.
• Facilitate individual, family, and couples therapy sessions focusing on evidence-based practices to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Engage in active collaboration with clients, providing guidance and support as they navigate through challenges, ensuring their mental health treatment is impactful and meaningful.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines throughout client interactions and documentation.
• Utilize telehealth technologies effectively to deliver therapy and document progress notes in compliance with organizational policies.
• Actively participate in clinical team meetings and supervision, contributing insights and learning from your peers to continually improve therapeutic practices.

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, families, and couples from various backgrounds. Our clients may struggle with a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and more. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing effective treatment plans that are tailored to each client’s unique needs, ensuring that everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• A valid Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) license in Vermont is essential for this position.
• A strong foundation in mental health theory and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.

We prefer candidates who bring a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in settings that emphasize community health. Experience in teletherapy or remote counseling is a distinct advantage, as it enables you to adapt seamlessly to our operational model. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems will aid in efficient client management.
