Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
  • Provide crisis management services, creating detailed pre-crisis and crisis plans that include behavioral guidelines and risk assessments.
  • Complete necessary documentation in a timely manner, adhering to all regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools as directed by the clinical team to ensure effective patient care and clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans.
  • Actively participate in ongoing accreditation and licensing processes, maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.
  • Serve as a liaison among service systems, state agencies, and community partners to coordinate care and advocate for client needs.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain open lines of communication to meet contract standards and promote our mission within the community.
  • Network with local, state, and private organizations to enhance program visibility, secure partnerships, and explore funding opportunities.

  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Clinic Director, adapting to the evolving needs of our clients and organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Blue Ridge Behavioral Health, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including those experiencing mental health disorders, substance use challenges, developmental disabilities, and different phases of recovery.
