This position is a remote role, allowing for a flexible work setting that supports a healthy work-life balance. As a counselor in a Community Health Clinic, you will have the opportunity to work with clients on an appointment basis, providing personalized counseling sessions tailored to their schedules. Our outpatient counseling center is equipped with tools and resources to support you in delivering effective treatments while allowing for independence in your approach.

• Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to create tailored treatment plans for clients based on their unique circumstances and challenges.
• Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring that documentation reflects the therapeutic progress of clients.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure clients receive holistic care that addresses all facets of their well-being.
• Remain current on developments in the field of mental health by attending workshops and professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic practices and client outcomes.

The clients you will support come from diverse backgrounds, facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will engage with individuals looking for help to overcome personal obstacles, as well as families navigating complexities within their relationships. • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in counseling, ideally within a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing psychological practice, with a commitment to maintaining compliance in all aspects of work.
• Demonstrated ability to foster strong therapeutic relationships with clients through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and relevant software to document client interactions effectively.

• Experience in specialized areas such as trauma-informed care, substance abuse counseling, family therapy, or couples counseling.
• Background working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in therapy.
• Previous involvement in integrated care settings or collaborative treatment planning with other healthcare professionals.
