• Conduct thorough assessments of clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, ensuring personalized care that aligns with their needs and recovery goals.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

• Facilitate engaging individual counseling sessions, helping clients to address their specific challenges and reinforce their commitment to recovery.

• Lead group therapy sessions that promote a sense of community among participants and offer shared experiences to foster healing and support.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, comprehensive care that addresses both mental health and substance use issues.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support for clients in urgent need, and thereby preventing potential relapses or other negative outcomes.

• Educate both patients and their families about the complexities of addiction, various recovery strategies, and available resources within the community.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of sensitive information.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives to stay current with the latest research and treatment methodologies.

This position specifically targets individuals dealing with substance use disorders, providing tailored support through individual and group counseling sessions. Our focus is on creating recovery-oriented environments that empower patients to reclaim their lives from addiction.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of one year of experience in counseling or related clinical setting, especially in the context of addiction treatment.

• Current, valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, such as LMHC or equivalent, in the state of Massachusetts.

• Demonstrated understanding of substance use disorders and the ability to apply evidence-based treatment methods.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a non-judgmental, compassionate approach towards clients.

• Comfort with electronic health record (EHR) systems and adeptness in various computer applications necessary for effective client management.

• Ability to work proactively as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team ensuring cohesive care delivery.

• Experience providing therapy in a remote telehealth format, allowing for flexibility and accessibility to patients.

• Familiarity with treatment models specific to substance use disorders, such as Motivational Enhancement Therapy or Twelve-Step facilitation.

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and pursuing additional certifications in addiction counseling or related fields.
