Mindful Journeys Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide remote mental health counseling in a school setting in Saratoga Springs, New York.   • Maintain meticulous clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and uphold our professional standards.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, engaging in case consultations and peer review meetings to continually enhance the quality of care provided.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health disorders and available resources, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding treatment and support.
  • Stay informed of current research trends in mental health to incorporate new insights and methodologies into therapeutic practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population of students, addressing various mental health challenges that may arise in an academic setting. You will engage with children and adolescents experiencing stress, emotional dysregulation, and other mental health issues, while providing support to their families to develop effective coping strategies.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree or higher in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • An active license to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.
  • Demonstrated experience in solution-focused psychotherapy with a keen understanding of individual client needs and creating personalized treatment strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills capable of building strong rapport with clients and families.
