Hours:ย 12 Hour Shifts - Days, Nights and Weekends
Status: Permanentย Full-time, Casual

The Human Attended Live Observation (H.A.L.O.) Telemonitor Program is dedicated to remotely monitoring and ensuring the safety of patients. As a member of the Telemonitoring team, the Patient Observation Technician provides continuous observation & monitoring to patients who are identified as a safety risk.ย 

As a member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to patients through remote communication channels. This position requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment. Joining our Telemonitoring team offers opportunities for growth and advancement within the program.ย 

Duties:ย 

  • Monitor patients remotely from our central command centre using advanced telemonitoring technology to ensure their safety and well-being.ย 
  • Communicate with patients through remote channels, offering reassurance, support, and assistance as required.ย 
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient observations and interactions.ย 
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications and other technology platforms efficiently.ย 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of both the English and French languages at the professional level.ย 
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.ย 
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to address patient needs and concerns promptly.ย 
  • Effectively manage conflicts and navigate challenging situations that may arise during remote patient monitoring.ย 
  • Exhibit keen observation skills and meticulous attention to detail in identifying changes in patient behavior or condition.ย 
  • Provide empathy, understanding, and effective communication to patients in a remote setting.ย 
  • Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, escalating critical situations for prompt response and resolution.ย 
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working different shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the organization's needs.ย 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma is required.ย 
  • Possession of a medical certificate or any relevant medical education is a plus, though not mandatory.ย 
  • Previous experience in customer service, front-facing roles, or administrative positions is highly desirable.ย 
  • Exposure to fast-paced environments with high-pressure situations would be advantageous.ย 
  • Prior healthcare experience is a plus but not mandatory.ย 
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications effectively.ย 
  • Strong technological aptitude with the ability to adapt to different software platforms.ย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.ย 
  • Proficiency in the English language, both in reading and writing at the professional level required.ย
