What You Do.  

  • Lead and develop the Trade Planning Analyst team while building organizational capability and preparing future leaders.
  • Own Trade investment management and decision-making within established financial and strategic guardrails.
  • Monitor and optimize Trade spending performance, customer profitability, and forecast accuracy across customer teams.
  • Lead the identification, analysis, and resolution of complex Trade spending, forecasting, cost-to-serve and profitability issues.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans for Trade investment variances and business performance risks.
  • Serve as the primary Trade Planning business partner to Sales leadership, influencing customer and investment decisions through data-driven recommendations.
  • Evaluate customer strategies, market dynamics, competitive activity, and performance trends to identify business opportunities and risks.
  • Challenge assumptions and drive fact-based decision-making through advanced analytics and meaningful business insight.
  • Ensure consistency and effectiveness of Trade investment strategies across customers and channels.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities involving Sales, Broker, Finance, Demand Planning, Brand, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Lead Trade exception requests, slotting investments, and strategic funding recommendations.
  • Active member of the P/CM team, owning pricing scenario development, compliance and execution
  • Allocate Trade Planning resources to address changing business priorities and deliver targeted results.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance Trade effectiveness, productivity, governance, and reporting capabilities.
  • Managing Trade Planning Analyst
  • Travel 10% of the time

Your Education and Experience.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university required.
  • Master’s degree/MBA strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years experience in trade, finance and/or sales evaluation and analytics required
  • Experience in CPG Sales, Marketing, or Finance preferred
  • Supervising experience preferred
  • Cross functional leadership required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Syndicated data analysis (Nielsen)
