What is remote commercial diving?

Remote commercial diving refers to professional underwater work performed by divers who are based away from traditional job sites, often accessing assignments in various locations through travel or using remotely operated equipment. These divers are typically contracted for tasks such as underwater inspections, repairs, construction, or maintenance for industries like oil and gas, shipping, or infrastructure. Work can involve using specialized tools and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and often requires strict adherence to safety and technical standards. Remote commercial divers must be highly skilled and adaptable, as each assignment may present unique environmental and logistical challenges.
