Job description

Position Title
Periop/ Proc Business Operations Project Manager
Remote, Southlake Campus
Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Business Operations Project Manager leads strategic and operational initiatives that improve patient access, capacity, throughput, operational efficiency, financial performance, and service line growth across clinical and procedural areas. This role serves as the operational lead for complex projects, ensuring workflow design, stakeholder alignment, operational readiness, governance, and successful implementation.
The position partners with operational, clinical, technical, and administrative leaders to drive process improvement, support organizational priorities, and deliver measurable operational outcomes.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Lead operational, strategic, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Manage complex projects from planning through implementation and sustainment.
  • Conduct workflow assessments, process mapping, and operational redesign.
  • Support initiatives focused on patient access, capacity management, throughput, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead operational readiness activities for facility moves, renovations, expansions, service activations, and new program launches.
  • Develop project charters, business cases, implementation plans, and executive presentations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
  • Partner with Informatics, Information Technology, and Analytics teams to define operational requirements and support adoption.
  • Analyze operational, financial, productivity, and performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate governance committees, operational councils, and project workgroups.
  • Support change management, communication, training, and implementation activities.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Project Management, or related field.
  • 3 or more years Experience in healthcare operations, project management, business operations, consulting, performance improvement, or a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Master's Degree Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), Nursing (MSN), or related field.
  • 5 or more years Experience leading multidisciplinary projects or operational improvement initiatives.
  • 5 or more years Healthcare experience supporting clinical, procedural, surgical, ambulatory, or patient access operations.

Knowledge Requirements
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations and project management principles.
  • Skill in project planning, process improvement, data analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex initiatives.
  • Ability to facilitate stakeholder engagement, change management, and implementation activities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
