Valor Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role is designed to be fully remote, providing the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home while still being an integral part of a dynamic team. • Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms, tailoring treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments.
• Collaborate with clients to craft individualized treatment strategies that align with their unique goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
• Implement a variety of evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adjusting methods as appropriate to foster client engagement and progress.
• Education is vital; be prepared to inform clients and their families about mood disorders, therapeutic options, and effective self-care practices to empower them in their recovery.
• Regularly monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure continued effectiveness and satisfaction.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to each client's treatment.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the field of mental health, particularly relating to mood disorders, to continually enhance treatment strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring diligence in documentation and confidentiality.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Advocate for clients’ needs and work to combat the stigma surrounding mental health challenges, contributing to a more supportive environment.

In this role, you will primarily work with clients suffering from various mood disorders including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also provide support to vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your expertise and empathy will support these clients as they navigate their challenges, fostering their resilience and recovery.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude, essential for working with diverse client backgrounds and experiences.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills to balance your client load and administrative responsibilities successfully.

Experience in utilizing telehealth platforms and a solid understanding of evidence-based therapeutic practices will be advantageous for candidates. Additionally, familiarity with the unique needs of clients from different backgrounds or those experiencing crisis situations is a plus.

• Annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
