Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine clients' mental health statuses, ensuring you gather comprehensive information to inform treatment plans.
• Develop individualized therapeutic plans that incorporate client feedback, therapeutic goals, and evidence-based practices to address specific issues.
• Provide regular counseling sessions, employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices to foster client engagement and progress.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain up-to-date client files, ensuring that all documentation adheres to legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with fellow mental health professionals and external healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will connect with a varied patient population, including individuals facing substance abuse challenges, anxiety disorders, depression, and eating disorders. Your commitment to culturally competent care will be essential as you design and implement treatment plans that respect each client’s background, beliefs, and individual circumstances. Understanding that every client is unique will guide you in developing tailored strategies for their therapy.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure in the state of Kansas as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW.
• A minimum of four years of direct clinical experience in mental health counseling, including both individual and group therapy settings.

Preferred Experience

• A comprehensive understanding of a range of mental health disorders and experience applying effective therapeutic practices grounded in empirical evidence.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize culturally responsive methodologies to enhance treatment outcomes across diverse client backgrounds.
• A track record of managing crisis situations effectively with calmness and confidence.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, including documentation practices, treatment planning, and progress tracking.
• A history of maintaining ethical boundaries and confidentiality in all client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
