Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ trauma histories and determine appropriate treatment pathways.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience-building methodologies.
  • Utilize evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address the unique symptoms and challenges faced by clients.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop adaptive coping strategies, and promote healing.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care and ensure a holistic approach to each client's mental health journey.
  • Provide crisis intervention support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, maintaining a calm and supportive demeanor in high-stress situations.
  • Offer educational resources and support to clients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping techniques, and additional community resources.
  • Ensure precise and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment adherence to legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems appropriately.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, specifically in trauma-focused therapies.
