Position Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team at Shelby County Counseling Center in Boston, Massachusetts. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide mental health services through a remote telehealth setting, allowing you to engage with clients from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact on their lives. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and collaborate with clients to develop effective treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, including crisis intervention strategies and behavioral guidelines.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Employ evidence-based screening tools to assess client needs and evaluate therapeutic progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement positive behavior support plans, ensuring comprehensive care for clients.
• Participate proactively in licensing and accreditation processes, upholding the high standards of our organization.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and relevant service systems, including state agencies and community partners, to facilitate seamless service delivery.
• Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders to meet contractual standards and advance our mission within the community.
• Establish and nurture relationships with local, state, federal, and private organizations to enhance program visibility and secure funding opportunities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through attending workshops, conferences, and community events, representing the agency to further enrich personal and professional growth.
• Contribute to the promotion of our agency's mission, values, and philosophy in all interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director, aimed at enhancing service quality and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population, including individuals navigating emotional health challenges, those in recovery from substance use disorders, and clients with developmental disabilities. Our focus is on crafting personalized treatment approaches that respect clients' unique experiences and empower them towards achieving their health and wellness goals.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required.
• Current and independent licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients effectively in a virtual environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in mental health practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing telehealth services is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities effective in remote counseling.
• Previous involvement in interdisciplinary collaborations within public health agencies or community-based organizations will be a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
