Sandy Plains Mental and Wellness Center is seeking motivated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our fully remote therapy team. In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality mental health care to a diverse client population. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver ethical and compassionate individual mental health counseling sessions via secure video chat, ensuring a safe and private space for clients.
  • Utilize solution-focused treatment modalities tailored to individual client needs, enhancing their ability to overcome life’s challenges.
  • Design and implement effective, individualized treatment plans that address the unique scenarios presented by your clients.
  • Assist clients in cultivating insights about their feelings, experiences, and relationships, empowering them with insightful dialogue and encouragement.
  • Continuously monitor each client’s progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and helping develop healthy coping mechanisms for daily challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily be working with low acuity adults experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related concerns. Our commitment to low acuity care means you can focus on helping clients achieve stability and improve their life skills in a supportive manner. Your expertise will guide clients as they build resilience and navigate everyday challenges.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • A valid and active professional license to practice independently, such as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Candidates with a limited or provisional license will not be considered.
  • No disciplinary actions or issues with licensure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine empathy for client experiences.
  • Proficient computer literacy and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
Preferred Experience

While not required, experience in teletherapy and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities will enable you to make a more immediate impact in your role. Previous work in outpatient settings and experience managing client caseloads can also enhance your readiness for this position.
