Job Description:

The Senior Specialist, Supply Chain Management position provides Supply Chain/Material Management (SCMM) representation and leadership in program support and proposal activities. They take ownership of a program's material budget and schedule. Proposal activity is supported as required. As a Senior Specialist in Supply Chain Management, you set a program up for success and then manage a program to schedule and budget for material requirements.

The Senior Specialist Supply Chain Management works directly with Program Management and is the primary customer contact for Supply Chain activity on a program. They represent Supply Chain on the Integrated Program Teams (IPTs), cross functional teams working in support of a specific program. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for monthly material forecasts and quarterly estimates at complete (EACs).

Essential Functions:

  • Financial: Develop monthly material projections and quarterly estimate at completes (EAC). Critically think the monthly material spread, develop a plan for material sales and then execute to the plan. Identify risks and opportunities around material sales/receipts. Perform as a Control Account Manager (CAM) on assigned program(s). Earned Value requirements range from EV light to full EV.
  • Schedule: Know your programs schedule requirements for material. Identify, and communicate material items not supporting the programs schedule needs. Develop and present plans to reduce material schedule risk on your program(s). Work with the programs Integrated Program Teams and supplier(s) to identify and implement schedule improvement opportunities.
  • Status: Know the current supply chain and material status for assigned programs. Be prepared with current information to address informal update requests. Expect to support weekly programmatic meetings and monthly programmatic reviews, plan and prepare accordingly, focusing on the top material risk and spend items. Customers may be included in all or some of the status meetings.
  • Programmatic: Lead Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) cross functional team(s) within assigned program(s), not limited to Sub-Contract Administrators (Buyers), Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, and Program Office to ensure supplier success. These teams provide clear directions to suppliers, remove roadblocks and ensure a program's material meets schedule and budget requirements.
  • Proposals: Work with Pricing & Estimating to develop a priced Bill-of-Material meeting FAR requirements. Calculate and propose the supply-chain support hours required to ensure the work is proposed competitively but also can be successfully executed too. Develop and present a supply chain plan that shows the proposed material, labor support, schedule and budget can be successfully executed to.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant supply chain experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related supply chain experience. In lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 10 years of prior related supply chain experience.

  • Working capability in the use of typical office computer programs for conduct of program management such as MS PowerPoint (presentations, logic diagrams), MS Project (basic scheduling), MS Excel (entering formulas, graphing, developing spreadsheets), and MS Word (tables, program plans).
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) on a progrm with full Earned Value requirements

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $84,000.00 - $156,000.00. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $73,000.00 - $135,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
