Description
LaunchCode is seeking a Learner Engagement Specialist. This role is the cornerstone of LaunchCode's services and offerings. This role supports learners across both live, cohort-based courses and self-paced, online programs - ensuring every student receives timely guidance, effective coaching, and a clear path toward career readiness. The Specialist acts as the liaison between internal staff, students, company partners, and course staff, and plays a key role in connecting qualified candidates to employer needs by identifying and sharing jobs, getting them submitted, and preparing learners for job interviews.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide distributed, day-to-day support to students across multiple self-paced and live cohorts simultaneously, primarily via helpdesk, support ticket systems, and office hours.
  • Monitor courses to identify students who may be struggling or disengaging, and intervene and coach students and course staff to help learners get back on track.
  • Work directly with students to prepare for company interviews, including mock interviews, feedback, and interview readiness coaching.
  • Conduct structured assessments of learner technical and professional readiness (e.g., scorecards or rubrics) to determine employer-match suitability.
  • Source and screen learners/candidates against specific employer role requirements, partnering with Talent Delivery and employer partners to understand hiring criteria.
  • Help prepare the candidate's resume to be submitted to clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of each learner's strengths and development areas to support recruitment efforts and help quickly match candidates to open roles.
  • Collaborate on course staff interviewing, hiring, and training; continue to provide day-to-day support to course staff as needed.
  • Ensure course operations and logistics are completed and managed to enable successful program implementation across both live and self-paced formats.
  • Provide student and teaching staff feedback to ensure curriculum is effective and well-formatted.
  • Manage program data and collaborate with internal teams to use it across all LaunchCode courses to drive and improve program outcomes and operations.
  • Assist with student project team meetings, including sprint planning, status updates, and demos.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing operations and improving the student and candidate experience, in alignment with organizational strategy.

  • Proven ability to leverage agentic tooling to drive operational efficiencies and process optimization
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms, such as HubSpot, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • 2-3 years of experience in education or training
  • Experience conducting mock/technical interviews or competency-based evaluations
  • Background in technical recruiting or bootcamp/apprenticeship placement
