This position is primarily remote, offering you the flexibility to work from your home environment while engaging directly with clients through telehealth platforms. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor at The Dream Works, Ltd, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand the mental health needs and personal backgrounds of clients.
• Developing tailored care plans in collaboration with clients, setting realistic therapy milestones aligned with their goals.
• Providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families utilizing evidence-based practices, ensuring cultural competency and understanding.
• Maintaining compliance with confidentiality standards and ethical codes in all interactions and documentation.
• Participating in continuous training and professional development initiatives to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health counseling.

Your work will focus on a diverse array of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. You will help clients navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship struggles, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs and helping them achieve positive outcomes through regular engagement and support.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling or a related field.
• An active LCMHC license in the state of Vermont.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and a commitment to staying informed about the latest mental health research.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively document client progress and articulate treatment plans.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to work both collaboratively with a team and independently.

While two years of clinical counseling experience are required, preference will be given to candidates with additional experience working in community health settings or with specific populations such as LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, or individuals grappling with substance use disorders. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms will also be advantageous.
